you're right, it did take #1 in the box office. That doesn't mean it's a good movie. It just means that a lot of people, like myself went to see it.

yeah you are 100% right on ...this movie was totally uninspired...the kills were dull...with independent slashers like Hatchet and Behind the Mask totally blowing this away ..i feel it's an embarassment to the Friday the 13th franchise...they just got it all wrong

Thanks...you're right Hatchet and Behind the Mask were great films. Hatchet was a great call back to the 80's slasher film. And Behind the Mask was just great because it could make fun of the things we all love from the slasher genre. Thanks again and I hope you check back for more review.

honestly, they should go in an entire new direction while learning from the older films. Something like Dawn of the Dead did. What made Jason so scary, to me, was that out there in the woods, you know that there's some 6'9" mofo wearing a hockey mask is out to get me. That's what I feel is what makes these remakes so distant from the originals. We know Jason's gonna kill ya but when is the scary thought. Like in one scene when this guy is attacked while he's in a port-a-john. You just won't know
