@passionforpolitics now thats something i agree with. Pakistan must clamp down on all the institutions that harbour terrorsim. But u cant put the blame entirely on Gul. U know wat sort of circumstances he was operating in? He was in power only for 2 and half years, he did wat he was assigned to do. The sprawl of terrorism within pakistan started long after his tenure. But uve got to resign to the fact that terrorism that has been going on in pakistan has alot of push from ousiders.

@hawkmoon6 Under Gul, the ISI turned a blind eye to the taliban and also to al quaida in afghanistan. They let them do as they pleased, even when they entered Pakistani territory. Terror cells have to be shut down immediately, otherwise they will sooner or later turn on you and/or cause huge havoc, which is what has now happened. Corrupt Gul turned a blind eye instead of removing the threat of terror, and the pakistani population is now paying the price for his incompetence.

@hawkmoon6 Years ago? Doubt it. You're telling me he cut all ties? Yeh right. Gul still has links to the Taliban, the very same taliban that is killing innocent pakistanis on basically a daily basis. In fact, this man has sold weapons & equipment to these terrorist organizations for personal profit, which they have then used to kill innocent people. And fake taliban? what's that? There's one taliban, and they travel across the badly patrolled boarder of Afghanistan into Pakistan and vice versa.
