It's a very strange country we live in (and a sign of the times) when Larry Flynt has become not just a voice for freedom of speech, but a Moral voice for freedom of speech! (in comparison to the amoral public figures we have out there.)

He was shot by a sniper who happened to be a white supremest protesting interracial content in an issue of Hustler. This left him with spinal injuries which led to a subsequent stroke from pain killers. So yes, he does have brain damage.
