James Farm feat. Joshua Redman, Aaron Parks, Matt Penman & Eric Harland - Live at Porgy & Bess Vienna 2011 05 17

Joshua Redman: tenor-, soprano saxophone
Aaron Parks: piano
Matt Penman: bass
Eric Harland: drums

James Farm is where we pool our collective knowledge,
let run the best of our ideas arising from our varied musical
influences, while acknowledging substantial common ground -
a love of jazz, a fascination with song and structure,
an obsession with groove, a receptivity to contemporary influences.
A band where we can be creative composers and improvisers,
in step with the rhythm of the times, constantly evolving.....
(Matt Penman)

Band selbstredend keinen Abbruch tut.
Welcome back! CH

  • Trabalho maravilhoso, inspirador e apontando novos rumos na contemporaneidade do jazz e seu dialogo com outras linguagens e vertentes. Joshua Redman, como sempre, surpreendente...!!

  • @hubertrogers

thanks for your words, I do appreciate this, alway try to show the facts and the action to all people watching my channel!

  • Toll! Schöne Aufnahme! Gute Tonqualität! Danke schön für`s Reinstellen!

  • love you joshua............

  • I don't know how I've missed this really great collective! Excellent!

  • I fell in love with JR's sound the first time I heard him. But before I go further I have to say hats off to the band. The front man always gets the props so we can come back to him... Art Blakey once said, "Jazz is such a technical music." Parks, Newman, and Harland have got that technique down! Harland is just such a cool drummer, like Max Roach was. JR's sound is unmistakable, truely unique and he has his own voice, his own sound: the perfect blend of all his musical influences.

  • @hubertrogers at least cut back to the full band sometimes

  • Thumbs up to whoever recorded this. You can actually see what's going on. He only zooms in when someone is soloing.

  • this is the hipest shit iv ever heard

  • jizz in my pants
