This is a video showing how to reseal, or "recard" a vintage Star Wars action figure to a reproduction cardback. When finished, it looks like an original unopenend figure mint on the card. This video shows all the tools you will need and explains exactly how to recard the figure. If you've got vintage Star Wars figures, this is a great way to display them! PART 1 OF 3
If you collect vintage Star Wars figures, be sure to check out my other videos. I do a weekly show here on youtube called "Vintage Star Wars Weekly".
"Vintage Star Wars Weekly" is a video show that focuses on vintage Star Wars toys. A new episode is released on youtube every Monday. The main hosts of the show are Darth Beer and Admiral Wetbar. The show also features weekly segments from Princess Midori and Sebastian DiNapoli. There is a different vintage figure featured on the show every week, with video of variant figures and commentary being provided by Sebastian. Princess Midori reads viewer emails in her weekly segment, and she also hosts a monthly vintage figure give-away contest that is open to anybody who would like to enter.
If you would like to have your Star Wars collection featured on an episode of "Vintage Star Wars Weekly", Feel free to contact us:
vswweekly@yahoo.com
If you have a comment you would like Princess Midori to read on an episode of the show, you can email her here:
vswwmidori@yahoo.com
You also use her email address to enter her vintage figure give-away contests. To learn exactly how to enter her contests, just watch her segment on any episode of the show.

@SteveSabbai I just got took for 200 dollars on some fake carded figures. I was told they where real, guy claimed he kept them in box for years, blah blah. B.S had the nerve to tell me after I bought a few check back I think I have some more. Come to find out their clever fakes. Well he lost a good customer, I hate fake carded vintage figures. I don't mind if someone selling them states they are re-carded vintages, but the frauds you guys can suck it!

@yokasvonreinhardt Thank you my thoughts exactly, this dude is not only a fraud but a disgrace to true Star Wars fans everywhere. He probably prints his own currency in his basement lol

...i wonder how many Recarded Figures are being sold on auction sites as Original Card?. thats what i am worried about. i personally open my figures. also i did research on fake autographs and it is stated that at least 30% of all signed items are Fakes! Wow! now i am wondering if my autograph Boba Fett figure is real or not? if you did not actually see that person sign your item then there is a chance it is fake. so sad how many dirty people there are in this world!...

@yokasvonreinhardt in their defense most sellers on ebay state its a recard, for people who cant afford the real thing

Now is that a fake card? because what if you have the original card back and you just want to put the figure back on the card back. would this affect the value much or is this what this guy is doing?

As a young teenager I remember getting these action figures for around $1.95 each at K-mart (in the early 80's).
The original cardbacks had a glossy shine to them. These copied versions have a flat look to them. That's how I can tell they've been recarded. I still have around 35 of my action figures in my Darth Vader case. I didn't realize how easy it was to recard these. But it does seem dishonest to me.

I can´t believe this... People that are resealing cards should burn in hell forever. A true collector would never touch this shit.
Stick to the real deal.

I guess I'm not a "true" collector then, because I'm in the process of collecting and recarding an ENTIRE set of vintage figures. LOL! Anyway, be sure to check out my other videos. You'll especially want to watch "Vintage Star Wars Weekly episode 3", and post more of your insightful comments on that episode of the show, since it covers recarding.

A true collector eh?? Well, I say that a true collector would never be stupid enough to pay such ridiculous high prices for the real deal when they can enjoy a vintage line for themselves for much much cheaper. We'll be enjoying our reseals while you scrounge around goin bankrupt over the years tryin to get THE REAL DEAL.....Some people have no clue or understanding of what is important in life. Plus, Darthbeer can enjoy more beer this way too! lol :)

Hey buddy, where'd you get those pretty acrylic cases? PS) Nice video dude!!!!
BalloonLicker 3 years ago
You can get the nice acrylic and the cheap plastic cases both on ebay.
FOR THE ACRYLIC CASES, search: "acrylic star case". They usually cost about $12.00 each plus shipping.
FOR THE CHEAP PLASTIC CASES, search: "protech star case". They cost about $1.50 plus shipping.
Hope this helps you out. Also, be sure to check out my other videos if you haven't caught an episode of "Vintage Star Wars Weekly" yet.
