Dit orgel is gefilmd In Widnes (bij Liverpool). Daar is jaarlijks een orgelfestival in het Victoriapark. Het park ligt praktisch naast het station en is heel makkelijk te bereiken. De draaiorgels zoals we die hier kennen vind je er niet. Er zijn handdraaiorgeltjes en kleine en grote kermisorgels. Je kunt er ook pakketten en bouwplannen kopen om zelf een orgel te maken.

Thanks for the info. It was a bit strange that by the time the American anthem was playing everyone had gone and I was standing alone in front of the organ. Something wrong with the British-American relationship or just a coincidence?

This organ is unusual in that it can be switched to play both 87 key G4 and 89 VB music.

If the organs actually a Marenghi then why is it called a gavioli?

Yes this is a rebuilt M ARENGHI organ with a Gavioli front and added pipework.

no nothing strange at all. The British pretence of not liking America is quite sincere. Unfortunately, until we have more money and expertise and fried chicken and burgers and a bigger more powerful army and better democracy and more courtesy than America and more trade we will just have to continue feeling uncomfortable when we hear their national anthem played. We are very politically correct : you will never hear a medley of 6 old British tunes. Even if you did people wouldn't know them ;)
