  • I'm a huge fan of Ms Battle, and I'm sick of hearing about a challenge in her life that happened ten years ago. Let's move on and enjoy her music...she is an amazing voice and performer and I would travel great distances and spent big bucks to see her live.

  • We cannot gain anything from trying to deconstruct Ms. Battle because of her short tenure at the Metropolitan Opera; however, we must not discount a gift than the accidents of her being an operatic singer in an institution managed by persons as well of different mind and temperament. It might have been good to her after all to get out from the Met.

  • Cont- could not sing with fresh flowers next to him and asked for them to be moved, and for the air conditioning to be turned down. Aretha Franklin is the same way. When you saw Pavaratti, he always wore a scarf around his neck to protect his voice. PPL, STOP raggin on KB! She is truly blessed to have such a great voice!!!!!!!

  • I LOVE Kathleen Battle and ALWAYS have. Even in 2008 she sounds wonderful! I don't know what everyone is sqwaking about. My brother is a professional singer of Opera and Liturgy, and most everyone has a little/alot of Diva in them. Their instrument is their voice. If a cold draft is blowing on them they easially get hoarse and get a cold. They can't afford to get sick. They have to protect their voice at all cost. My late father who also sang opera, could not sing with fresh flowers nest to him

  • I always liked Kathy Battle on recordings but I heard her in Symphony Hall in Boston in her prime and one could barely hear her...I always felt she was the product of the recording studio.

  • amazing

  • This womans voice is phenomenal. Whatever happened in the past is on the past. Enjoy the glory of her voice. me

  • @couturesixfour Because as one gets older, the voice gets deeper, fuller, and richer in tone
