The song, Life in the Castle, used to have lyrics, but I decided they were lame and left it as an instrumental. As with my last video, Slow Boat, I searched the web for non-copyright protected film and video footage and then assembled a montage that felt as though it worked with the music. Since the song always had this Russian folksong sort of feel, I decided to use ballet dancers for most of the piece, even though none of the ballet's I chose were Russian. I also thought it would be fun to have ballerinas dancing in place of typical video vixens.
