To be honest I heard this song before I played F.E.A.R and I loved the lullabye so much I fell asleep to it, it was so peaceful. Now that I know Alma's story it gives it a whole new story. The pain and character suit the song with every note.

@crabfight never actually confirmed that she dies, you're never told what happens to her. And considering she's a ghost, it's actually quite plausble to consider that something that is DEAD giving birth to something that's ALIVE would take a lot of energy, probably enough to kill her.

Her story ends pretty pathetically - she dies either because she gave birth (wtf) or because her son betrayed and wanted to eat her while she was helpless (wtfwtf). FEAR 3 considers her to be a boring and useless character who doesn't need to talk or do anything meaningful, and they didn't plan on bringing her back. Well, FEAR 3 killed off the series anyway.

Also, Harlan Wade strikes me as egotistical enough to use his own DNA for his prototypes.
