Mustang GT Vortech Getting On Highway

Just having some fun in the mustang. I hold out third gear until the straight way. Then I run all the way through 4th. Run out of 4th @ about 110 MPH. Slow down and do a quick 60-100

LOL. On the real though that shits pretty nuts ass. How much did you pay for the votech and where did you get it? I just bought an MMR 7504.75L stoker engine. Im going to need to feed this thing more air sometime. Im trying to figure out the absolute best supercharger for my motor. Ive heard centrifugal is the way to go.

@macdrinay I paid $1600 for the blower, intercooler, and 42lb injectors. I got a great deal. I still had to buy everything else (mounting assembly, intake/discharge assemblies, fuel pump, etc) but it was still a great deal. A T-Trim is a great blower for BIG numbers. I only make 8 lbs of boost with it, but its made to push 20+ lbs. Its on the same level as the D(P)S1C(?) (the big pro-charger blower) and novi 2000. Great high number blower. That or KB ull be fine. Love the stroker kit.

@macdrinay It depends are you looking to rip up the streets or the track? Roots are great for the street instant boost. Centrifugal is great for the track they build power slower so your able to launch easier. I have a Vortech V3 on my 02 and love it.

@swooshonln you must have a small tire size once you get the tire size and gearing right you will be in the mid 11's with your 2.1 60 foot guranteed, heres a video of a guy with a vortech gt like ours but he has 28" tires (from top to bottom) and 4.10 gears you will be amazed what the right tire size and gearing will do

@cbeck611 my best time was 12.9 @ 111, however I am not a good 1/4 driver at all lol. my 60' times are all over 2.1 seconds. I was managing on some passes to go through the traps at 115, but my best time was my slowest MPH through the traps. Yeah I have the engine-oil fed blower. Scary at first to do, but now I dont have to worry about chanign the oil or anything once its complete. Plus it stays fresh as my engine oil :) I use Motorcraft 5w20 synthetic blend w/ motorcraft filter.

@swooshonln idk yet i just got the car last week and i have been babying it, whats your 1/4 mile time? and do you have the vortech supercharger that taps into your oil pan and shares the engine oil? if so what oil and weight do you use i have heard alot of different things to use
