The Sufi experience is a journey of the heart - people open up to each other and connect through teachings of beauty, truth and service. I found my spirit family at camp and was grateful to connect and communicate openly with others. People actually looked me in the eye while in conversation, and they really listened to what I said. I could be myself and was accepted despite (what I perceive to be) my imperfections.

Sufi camp heightened my understanding of love; I felt love in its purest form - a staunch knowing that the Divine exists in everything and everyone. I have a stronger sense of self and of my path -- to live my heart's purpose and to serve... Plus, I was blessed to do work exchange thanks to the amazing support community. The food was amazing - organic salads, sprouts, local fruits, and 24/7 tea & almond butter sandwiches (my favorite)!
