To amiga2000: Well, the Amiga was complex...but the Jaguar is a much more complex system. It had five "processors" - one 16-bit, two 32-bit, two 64-bit and a 64-bit bus. Far harder to emulate and far less information out there on the chipset. Atari did not publish anything like the Amiga Hardware Reference Manuals.

You need to turn up the frameskip to about 2.

Hey, I downloaded virtual jaguar on my computer, but it doesn't work. Every time I try to load it, I get a black box that won't go away no matter how many times I hit the XClose button, I have to restart my computer to make it go away. Does anyone know how to make it work?

is not only the jaguar emulator, is all emulator that have a 68000 CPU and chip set is hard to emulate... de motorola 68000 its the hardest cpu to emulate...

a jag emu is really cool.. one of the hardest pieces of hardware to emulate i hear. wtf is with this Wussy music though. everyone knows cowboys are gay.

Amiga2000, how the hell do you boot that fast or have you manipulated the video?

Blah hahaahahaha... I hate country music but I'm afraid I'll swallow a bottle of gin too if I had to play Jaguar games this way! 4 stars for a good laugh but -10 stars for the emulator.

Glad you enjoyed it but I think you're a little harsh on the emulator. John Blanchard at http://tonsomo.roguegunners.com wrote this and several other emulators like the Intellivision emulator in2x. I'm not a developer and don't pretend to understand the types of challenges there are in emulating various platforms.
Here is the video to that Intellivision emulator I mentioned earlier:
