  • Well changed the pump two days ago. I was scarred about breaking a bolt. I wouldn't know how to remove it because no space for drill in some areas.

I was able to remove pump and pulley without dropping motor mount. Did it in 4 to 5 mins. That was the best part of the job.

I replaced pump because i noticed wobbling pulley on the pump. Hoping replacement would remove the chirping sound that goes away after 5 mins. Now the chirping is worse and constantly making making sound.

  • @scooter12368 Sorry the noise is still there, you could try flipping the belt around so the outside edge would then be on the inside.

  • You put the jack underneath front motor mount. I have one under under the frame pretty close to be under the radiator. Is that the location ok?

    Where did you place yours??

  • @scooter12368 Jacking up the engine? the oil pan should be ok. To jack up the car, behind the front tires there may be jack pads you can use. Or the pinch weld that runs along both sides of the van. HTH.

  • Help. Seems my water pump is making all kinds of noise but not leaking.

I've replaced the power steering pump aaready. Any help is apreciated.

  • @PackedFunk Well the only help I can really give is what is in the videos that I post here. If you take the belt off and grab the water pump pulley with you hands and it wiggles or feels rough when you turn it, then you need to replace it.

  • Thanks a lot I was in a real pinch and this video was perfect for getting me through it!

    Thumbs up!!

  • I will be doing my 06 caravan.. i noticed the motor mount bracket halves did not align with the holes. How will you get them to shift over in order for them to mate??

Is there something that you do to the pumps 5 bots to ensure they come off without breaking them??? i would be lost if they did
