Pupula Arboretum

The Pupula Arboretum, a sculpture by Jeffry Loy and Joe Martin.

This video is from Red Bull House in Austin, TX during SxSW 2005. The piece was also shown for 6 months in the Jacksonville Museum of Modern Art in Florida.

Each small monitor shows a different video loop of a eyeball watching the crowd. The monitors each move randomly across the room. Approaching the piece on either side will cause all the monitors to stop and look directly at the person approaching the piece. After they walk away, they will begin searching the room again.
