lol same thing happened to me and it scared the crap outta me and i think i felt a trinkle down my leg! lol at only a 14v ryobi drill battery!

I did something similar last year, although the conditions were different in two way. Firstly, the explosiong was completely unexpected. Secondly, my face was right above the cap..

I did the same thing but with 120. it scared the crap out of me becuase my face was right beside... safety goggles always

I like to use a 200v inverter transformer and blow my caps up like that. super fun.

Did the same thing by accident with a 10 volt 47uF capacitor across just only a 12 volt battery.
