Security at Albuquerque's airport says it's ready for the potential nation-wide boycott of body scanners.
While a Transportation and Security Administration spokesperson wasn't available to speak on camera today, she told KOB Eyewitness News 4 "we're ready."
The boycott called the National Opt-Out day is expected to hit Wednesday at the nation's airports during one of the most business travel days of the year.
Passengers who believe the body scanners are too invasive plan to opt-out and receive a pat-down instead. TSA officials fear the boycott could contribute to travel delays at the airport.
Albuquerque Sunport spokesperson Daniel Jiron says other airport employees will be able to deal with any delays.
"Certainly we are prepared for it. The TSA has some contingency plans. We also have contingency plans. We are going to have some extra staff on board anyway," Jiron said.

Yes, we have entered a state where we've lost all our rights. The boycot is the only way. If a thousand people died in an attack airlines and corporate pigs would be less affected than if they lost a couple days of money making. I am all for boycots, because as Americans we are consumers, not citizens, so our power is only in our purchasing, so boycotting works, congress and the supreme court, don't at least not for us "consumers". They do work however, for corporate powers.

I just called American Airlines C.S. and told them I was no longer going to fly with them due
to these security measures. We all need to start acting. It’s only a 5 minute phone call . . . .
