You obviously did not read my comment closely i said third world conditions compared to england. And by the way you really need to see more of Wales if you believe that it is just a 'little bit poor'. You can not ignore the statistics that show that we are the poorest part of western europe. I asked you for ideas on how to solve this and all you can think of is to 'stop immigration'.

Immigration is a key part of the economy. And to stop immigration would be economic suicide.

@TheRealPathFinder To get your own parliament all you have to do is vote for it as the Scots did for theirs, & the Welsh & N.Irish did for their assembly. You've got Tory in now, so you can't blame Labour for denying your wish, oh...wait Tory are Unionist too? Well why do English keep voting unionist parties then? You've got two independence parties dedicated to England, EnglishDemocrats and OneEngland - even though EngDemocrats lie about subsidies to gain votes at least they offer a parliament.

@TheRealPathFinder And no we're not the same people, just because we were in a union that does not make us the same as if it did the union would not legitamatly ratify the "United Kingdom" title and it would disband the English, Scottish, Welsh and Irish names (Ireland was all part of the UK once).

We all have our own nation, flags, anthems and traditions etc.

It not about genetics....i have a friend whose parents are trinidad and tobagoans and is a better welsh speaker than me.........he is welsh cos hes cultural welsh
