  • which motor use's the most power

the dyson digital motor or a conventional motor

  • @welshdumbass A conventional motor. The Digital Motor is far more energy-efficient.

  • Hey Jack,

Looks really cool! I found the orange DC31 on craigslist for $85 NIB. Going to meet the guy on Saturday to buy it! I already like my DC16 so this will be even better.

I did see a display DC31 at Frys, it felt a lot smaller and lighter, but of course it was dead so I couldn't use it LOL.

  • Oh cool - if you like the DC16, you'll LOVE the 31!! Smaller, lighter, and twice as powerful! I use mine every day - it's totally changed my appearance about hand-helds in general!

  • ha ha....does flora eat the post 2...like my dog :D

  • She loves taking the junkmail our of the recycling bin and tearing it to pieces!

  • @vintagehoover if you like the dc31 you will love the dc 34 and 35 lol

  • I'm sure I will :). I also want to find another cheap DC16, ditch the battery setup and wire on a Dyson cord onto it! :D

If for some reason the craigslist guy is a no-show, I'll just buy one at Sears when I buy my DC23 (which is amazing!)

  • whece can i buy this? i need 2 of those engines for my experiment.. i heard it makes 104 000 rotations p/m

  • Looks good, but regarding the 10 minute limit, I have to wonder why Dyson doesn't provide the option to plug in the device to a) keep it powered and b) to let it charge when not in use for those times when you really do need cordless power.
