KMart destroyed this song in the 90s....I still think of their friggen ads when I hear this song!!!!

arrrrrhhh crap, here i was thinking they originated from australia ,only now to find out 30 years later that one of my favourite songs was performed by a bunch of sheep shaggers lol. but thats OK I grew up surrounded by them (kiwis) and they are not that bad. I guess without them we wouldn,t have crowded house, split enz, dave dobin(slice of heaven) and omc (how bizzare) how bizzare indeed thanks for the video anyway

@Houratsu The video might be "very NZ" but it was filmed in Abinger Street, Richmond in Melbourne.

I'm English but went to Burnside High School (chch) in NZ early 80s - this brings memories flooding back man. Cheers for these great videos nzoz. I cant find 'Dont Fight it Marsha' by BLAM BLAM BLAM - I WOULD TRULY LOVE TO HEAR THAT AGAIN - i did have the 7" vinyl. I genuinely think it was a great period of nz and oz music. I am always playing old tunes to mates over here (Church,Hunters&Collectors,HoodooGurus,Clean).

@martinrob66 thanx for the comment... I'll see what I can do with the Blam track. Might take me sometime though. Keep playing those Aussie/Kiwi tracks!!

Did NZ invent art rock? This seems like what Franz Ferdinand discovered over 20 years later.

NZ tend to be a little more 'arty' with their approach to pop music. Singer Phil Judd is an ex-member of Split Enz. If you're not aware of the mid-seventies Split Enz; I advice to you go to my nzoz1975, nzoz1976 and nzoz1977 channels, and check out the Split Enz videos I've uploaded.
This 'art' tendency is heard through many NZ bands; particularly those who were signed to the Flying Nun label.
Check out bands like The Gordons, DD Smash and many others. You identified NZ rock to a T.
