There have been many Jaco Pastorious musical tributes. e.g Miles, Marcus Miller, The Yellowjackets, et al. This one was missed in the rush, and is perhaps the most personal and profound -- A hauntly simple statement from a former pupil to his teacher.

This is taken from the CD 'Drastic Measures'. ...damn fine drumming

  • so deep! another masterpiece of manring..

  • @AceHarding use vibrato when plucking a string...try to use the upper part of the strings on the bottom of the fretboard youll get that tone your looking for..

  • @piecemaker74 I use a fretless Fender Jazz bass with Roundwounds.

  • Fretless bass =the unique sound

  • So Powerful!!!

  • AceHarding: are you on fretless? Cause thats whats making the unique sound.

  • Anybody know how he's getting that bass sound? Can't seem to replicate it on a clean bass tone.

  • @TheDarkPhoenix13 you too!

  • @BassmanDannyFox Same here, good luck learning. :)
