With apologies to Shania Twain, some footage taken at the Huron Natural Area in Kitchener, just minutes from my residence. I was amazed at the Blue Heron's ability to swallow such a relatively large fish in one gulp down its otherwise narrow gullet. Equally amazing is that the Eastern Painted Turtle basking on a nearby log wasn't spooked by the sudden activity. Thanks to my wife and "Chief Scout" Karen who searched ahead of me and located this large bird in the act of catching its dinner.
This video clip was shot with a Canon 5D Mark 2 using a Canon 100-400L lens with stacked Canon 1.4 and 2.0 teleconverters.
