Using a small video camera usually means putting up with a lot of shake. This little rig will help things a lot and doesn't cost very much.

I made one just like it. Works great. I used it for an iPhone and a small camera. This does not work on dslr lol. I tried it

where do you get your ball-head joints from?

@mreedy02 I get mine from an eBay seller in China (check the description for a link). They are mostly metal (except for the tension knob) and should stand up to any small camera you can mount on it. They cost $5.80. I wish they were a little cheaper, but I've been happy with their performance.
