  • @5thSFGsniper I got myself a Katadyn Survivor. It's the only thing in the world that can pump fresh water from ANYTHING at 35 gallons per day.

If it came down to it, it'll even let you pump fresh water from urine. They have a bunch of Navy surplus now because of withdral from Iraq. And I've seem this thing (which costs $1800 new) sell for $400 or less.

  • They say 8# per gallon, so 5 gal. would be 40 pounds. Pretty Heavy!

  • Wal-mart has the "camelback" type carries for $15.88 (2.5L). It's great to have an expandable 5 Gal water carrier. Do you know what 5 gals of water weighs? The condom thing is pretty old school. I'd rather pay the $0.85 to get the 5 year shelf life 4.45 oz mylar water packets. Water purification tablets (as well as iodine, bleach, and boiling) makes water "biologically" safe, but do nothing about chemical or heavy metal contamination due to agricultural or industrial runoff.

  • You know you can go to sports authority or dicks sporting goods and get a thing called "camelbak". You fill it up with water and it has a tube that you drink out of and the cheapest one is like 35 dollars where i live.

  • I like your videos but can you please shut the hell up about the damn knife? Every video you make about survival kits..you talk about that damn knife.
