Davenport is the one that doesn't get it, Illinois has a way better control and look at the frequency of 20' plus crests in a span of 3 in 15 years. '93, '01, '08. I walked in waist deep water to my house with snakes swimming next to me man, I was a kid and didn't have a choice. You have to consider Lock and Damn, Goldstein and barges and so much. I left the river (under 280 bridge) 7 years ago. You really have no idea what it's like if you don't live it. (Because I already forgot!)

i live there in davenport IA i was going to the quad city sport center for iceskating practiceinstead i ended up by the flood so we stayed there and fished 4 awhile
