@AmtrakFlorida And in airplanes, there are no beds.

Okay I was just on it again on 1/4/11, you can see my video. They have done some work on both the tracks and the cars, both are noticeably smoother. My mother who can't fall asleep at night here at home slept very soundly on train 53, I didn't even wake up once.

yeah i just got off from riding it yesterday again and you are so right! It's mostly because of the host railroad (csx) because they're tracks are in bad shape. The way down we got there like 6 hours late because we sat from 6pm to 12am in Weldon NC cause they were doing track work.

The train is modern & comfortable, but the track is bad and the train rocks non-stop.

Have you ever tried sleeping on an airplane? It's terrible. You can't sleep because of all the turbulence. On the train it's like a rocking motion that helps you fall asleep (and stay asleep).

@AmtrakFlorida
its hit and miss for me. Most times, i could sleep and sometimes i can't. Never tried sleeping on a plane though.

@AmtrakFlorida
depends, the sanford sub is terrible but once you pass the jacksonville yard, its pretty smooth again till your atleast up to NC/SC cause they're still the original Seaboard tracks there.

@DAKRUPAINATER Sir, you took this train 3 years ago. I was on it last week. I think my testimony is a little more recent.
