  • @nealbfinn Oh yeah! This is jamming the way it ought to be!

  • もちろん高評価です。日本では有料衛生放送でしか流れません。

  • The real Gene Krupa on drums and Teddy Wilson on piano

  • I love this movie. This is music, ladies and gentlemen!!!

  • @fromthesidelines of course. You don't think they'd tell the truth do you? The truth gets in the way of the story!

  • Avalon

  • The tune their doing is House Hop by the way. :D

  • great clip even though fictional. L.H. really makes a fast costume change. I love Lionel Hampton. No one in this scene eats their chile.

  • Pure magic!

  • The music is real, but this sequence is pure Hollywood fiction, as Lionel Hampton had already been established as a jazz musician at the time he first "jammed" with Benny in August 1936, becoming a charter member of "The Benny Goodman Quartet". As for Benny's "shyness" about playing in New York [1:13]- again, dramatic license for the sake of the movie {Benny supposedly "conquers" New York by playing Carnegie Hall at the end}.
