Dr. Amanda Staudt, National Wildlife Federation Climate Scientist joins Thom Hartmann. This has been one costly year for extreme weather in the United States. From the massive blizzards in the Northeast to begin the year - to the mile-wide tornadoes that decimated the midwest - to the flooding along the Mississippi that drowned whole cities - to wildfires that torched the American southwest - to Hurricane Irene which buzzzsawed the east coast - there have been 10 different natural disasters this year that have each cost more than 1 billion dollars. So what's in store for us next year - and for each year after that as our nation drags its feet on addressing climate change?

What piss me off is not only that these people that are working for the money grabbing (global warming/climate change) industrial complex are ignorant of weather/climate history of weather disasters, but of their use of Orwellian language. Carbon pollution. What about Oxygen pollution or Nitrogen pollution.
