When he watched the pilot he didn't want to score it because he thought it was horrible, but his agent persuaded him to do it... and it ended up running longer than any of his other shows (except "The Waltons")!

I love Hank Simms, the announcer on all those Quinn Martin productions. One of the originators of the genre.
