I took 2 length of 1/4 in steel rod and built a rolling ball channel to test noise levels of different balls. Golf Ball, Racquet Ball, Tennis Ball, Super Ball.
The Super Ball is the heaviest and for the most part as quiet as the Racquet Ball and tennis ball. The Golf Ball continues to make the most noise. Being the heaviest/most dense the Super Ball moves the fastest through a series of loops and turns this shows in another video. Availability of the Super Ball is probably the least reliable. I don't know this for sure but...... . The Tennis Ball would be the most problem both because of it's size but more because of it's lack of weight. You would need a longer drop to make the tennis ball go through loops. The more dense super ball would require the least drop length. The golf ball produces the most noise in all instances. Super Ball and Racquet ball are about the same. The Racquet Ball is larger than the supper ball in size but I'm not sure about the weight. Will weigh the ball later.
