Normally committing murder ruins the moral credibility of a character making him unredeemable. For example Chong Li and Tong Po from the Van Damme movies could not have sequels and be credible "heros" in them. However, the 2 people Boyka killed in this scene basically killed themselves. Drugging his opponent was such a sleazo thing to do that they pretty much signed their own death warrants. Killing them was morally justified.
