  • i get bad shin pain (shin splints) when i do these type of exercises, but on my inside rear part (posterior tibialis?) any suggestions?

  • The only time we actually use these is barefoot in the sand. They're actually used as a means of strengthening the foot and preventing shin splints.

If you already have shin splints the best solutions are new well fitting shoes, ice massages, running on softer surfaces, and reducing impact exercises.

  • i thought this was a breakdance move but nevermind

  • Thanks. I guess I just need to spend time on getting a good fit for my shoes and probably some refinement of my technique and flexibility. I'm primarily a hockey player, but my new coach has us doing sprints and plyometrics for conditioning. Running really puts a beating on your body compared to ice skating!
