This video was done with 3DS Max 2010. The TV uses an AVI file for the texture.
The speakers and the Equalizer both thump to the beat of the music using the audio controller.
It was rendered with Mental Ray and took about 5 days to render.
I learned a few cool tricks while doing this video. So I thought I would share it.
I don't like the way the plant in the corner turned out but overall I am happy with it.

  • how to do this animated thing ?

  • @saytara21

I use a program called 3DS MAX to create the models and then I can also use this program to create an animation like what you see here.

  • thanks for letting me know 3dsmax supports avi textures :D i was looking for a way to make an animated screen.

  • This is really cool. I have a tv in my scene that I've been wanting to make working, right now its a static picture. Can you make a short tutorial how to make an avi texture? Also, I have the screen as a part of the tv and just have that area selected. Can I still do that with an avi texture or do I need to have a separate prim for it? Send me a message if you can and let me know if you do a tutorial.

  • COOL
