@douro20 keep in mind how old the cp's are. i worked on them back in 99 and at that time fuji had no competition. i produced sd ram modules on a fuji line.

Have you ever seen a Siemens Siplace SX4 with Multistar heads? That machine has set new records for single and multi-size part placement speed. It can place any size SMT component and can automatically adapt for large-size components without changing tooling.

More like several hundred thousand dollars.
-
..Some of these machines place a tiny spot of adhesive on the location of SMT's before boards go into the pick-n-place...but after the solder paste is applied with a mask..usually a red glue...often visible after the boards are done soldering in the ovens

I love working on this machine. As a service tech for it. This was the Lexus from Japan that owned the assembly line!! I know this beast inside and out.

The speed the tray is moving are just insane..

dat speed :D

@honestann All SMT processes use solder paste takes care of any possible "sliding" of components.
-
@honestann dude theres prob some ultra sticky flux on it to keep everything in place. im sure fuji wouldn't develop a several thousand dollar machine without providing a solution for that sort of problem.
