I saw one of those vs a Huntsman spider and they called it a porsche spider, but when I tried looking for images of this horrific thing all I got was the Porsche Spyder car... it's an orb weaver.

@lovetv13 Notice the smallest legs connected close to its mouth called pedipalps ?? Both small legs look just like miniature boxing gloves that are present in males. These boxing glove like pedipalps are not present in females. Females do have pedipalps but, they are not bulging like the males. Female pedipalps are all straight or narrow.

Hi Chris, this is definately a male nice size palps, and my best guess is a star-bellied orb weaver (Acanthepeira stellata). Usually found in Easterm US, but also mid west and your area too! No problem in handling this guy. Remore possibility it is a male wolf spider? Anyway, either way, its OK to handle! Take care,
Bob

@BobCsAll I actually had let this spider go a while back. I started handling spiders after I saw some videos of people handling them. Especially the jumping spider videos by you and terser. That was one thing I noticed is that this spider was a male by looking at the pedipalps. I found him on my ceiling, it was the first time I had ever found what appears to be an orb weaver type spider inside. The legs with the spikes suggest it to be a species of an orb weaver. I'll look up the name u gave me.
