It's a job well done and good luck for the future - please watch that throttle position and chock those wheels - 1/4 inch more throttle and you going to be sushi, many many people where killed in the second world war like that.

You can stand on a Quickie wing and it will barely flex. It's a very strong fiberglass, epoxy composite covering a foam core.

very cool man but i would chop the wheels, that plane went forward 10-15 inches upon startup.

look like a perfekt plane to cruise in ground effect across some water?

@arkafon79 thats too bad man! Not that hard to learn how to fly honestly, if you take 1lesson you'd have no problem flying in summertime (without allot of wind etc)
Nice plane anyways man ;)

Yeah Isaw this once in a cartoon. I think it was Foghorn Leghorn convinced the Chickenhawk to put wings on a lawnmower and bomb the dog.

Ufff! Starting that engine, you almost have to build your dad again. Be careful.
as an update, my dad sold the plane, he never flown it...hopefully the new owner in Cali will take it to the sky!

i am not really sure, as far as i know, the kits havent been made since 90s. my dad actually is looking to sell the one in the video, so let me know if you are interested

Quickies are from kits or plans. Therefore you didn't build it 'from scratch'. Nice try though.

i am very happy that you are extremely diligent. indeed you are correct, Quickies come in kits, and my dad bought an 'in progress' kit 2 years ago. i dont think the intention is to fool people, so no reason to be hostile
