Feel free to pitch in with your two cents as we attempt to answer some of the more awkward, confounding, rude and inappropriate questions that kids love asking. This time - why do we have swear words? Also, as a bonus - does washing your mouth out with soap work?

we have swears because humans are stupid. At first we just had words, then people started using the same words over and over to hurt eachother, and those words became "bad." But as Mr. Carlin said "there are no bad words, just bad thoughts and bad intentions."

They want to determine what the parent can/cannot teach or eat. What morality the child must believe. This isn't about having nothing to do with police, friends or neighbors & living on an island.
