  • One of the best short films ever.

  • Had to watch this for english. I felt much of the sounds distracted the story except for the watch ticking. that was necessary. The song has gotten on my nerves and is still stuck in my head lol. Nonetheless this is one of the best old films I have seen.

  • Elements of this story were in Scorsese's Last Temptation.

  • 11:13 I was unaware satan was fighting for the rebels

  • owl city bring me here.

  • @la214la he was trying to sabotage a bridge during the civil war.

  • Peyton runs to his wife 5 times the same way. Limited picture space?

I read the story in school and my teacher recommended that we watch this. I didn't read about the hanging at the very end; it just said:

"He springs forward with extended arms. As he is about to clasp her, he feels a stunning blow on the back of his neck. A blinding white light shines all about him, sounding like a connon burst. Then all is darkness and silence!"

  • That ending was shocking, esp. with the quick cut! Don't know what he did, but I felt bad for that guy!

  • What song is it in the film? Is there any posibility to download it?

  • @SkitzCrew

The repetitive running scene reminded me of a similar scene in Monty Python and the Holy Grail (watch?v=9ryPUJyQf6g).
