@doddi1984 I think you're forgetting that Scottie missed 10 games because of surgery to his ankle in '94. The Bulls went 4-6 in his absence. If Pippen was there the whole season the Bulls most likely win 58+ games and take first place in the East and have home court advantage throughout the playoffs. Taking 1st seed in the east after Jordan's sudden retirement would have locked the MVP for Pippen especially after replacing Jordan with a CBA scrub in Pete Myers.

I love Scottie Pippen and the effort he made in the 94 season, but the fact that people are saying that he deserved the MVP over Hakeem is just wrong. Let's have a look:
Pippen: 22,0 PPG, 8,7 RPG, 5,6 APG, 2,9 SPG, 0,8 BPG. 55-27, 3rd Place in East
Olajuwon: 27,3 PPG, 11,3 RPG, 3,6 APG, 1,6 SPG, 3,7 BPG, 58-24, 2nd Place in West
Scottie was phenomenal that season, but he was #2 after Olajuwon.

Pippen truly perfected his skills as a Leader in the 94 season after MJ left. He lead his team to a 57-25 season, which is remarkable. And the fact that NY needed all 7 games to finally beat the Bulls shows how good they were that season.

@TheBrucifer1 Too bad they'll never have the same respect that Pippen and MJ had.

lol love those space goggles on horace grant

Pippen is to D- Wade, as MJ is to Lebron.

Scottie is fantastic! This totally reminds me of Lebron's performances when he was with the Cavs

And to think that Pippen kinda started slow in his rookie season but boy did he step it up a 1000 knotches after that...brilliant player
No disrespect to Hakeem, but considering that the Bulls played this season without the GOAT, Pip should have won the MVP award.

This was Scottie Pippen in his prime, poetry in motion. Everyone forgets that the Jordan-less Bulls were would-be champions in 1994, save Hugh Hollins. Nobody talks about Scottie's MVP-level play that year. Scottie Pippen and the Bulls were so fun to watch that year. Scottie Pippen was always a champion, but that season in particular, he was the star of stars, a champion independent of Michael Jordan, a lock for the Hall of Fame. People forget - its okay, we'll keep it our little secret.
