Bela Lugosi > Boris Karloff.

My mother was a teenager in St. Louis when she saw Dracula in the 1930s. In its time, it was terrifying. She told me that she walked home down the middle of the street that evening because she was convinced the Count was lurking in the alleys.

I used to be afraid of vampires. Thanks to Twilight, I will never take vampires seriously ever again.
-
Also this wasn't the first sound movie. It was "The Jazz Singer" (1927).

Here's something I want to mention. Dracula was created by Bram Stoker and this movie was a masterpiece. On the other hand, the stupid bitch Stephenie Meyer created the piece of shit Twilight series from her head. She had to smoke something in order for that to happen. When Bram Stoker created Dracula, he did it with great facts, fantastic feeling and overall, amazing story. To be honest, I would love to see Bela Lugosi stare at Robert Pattinson and rip his sparkling, faggoty head! Indeed! :)
