Winter riding on an electric bike! This video includes some uselful tips from Crimson, a veteran winter rider, for setting up you e-bike for winter. This Swiss e-bike sports both a Crystalyte motor and controller running two 36v 8.2Ah batteries wired in series to produce a whopping 72v. A journey seatpost rack is used as midframe battery support and as a custom rigid fender. Crimson outperformed the car filming around the corners in these icy conditions!

  • Love the bike and all the tips in video, what's the song name that starts playing at 5:51?

  • @spettenati

thanks! The song was Instrumental remix Michael Jackson Beat It, then remix with another instrumental Billie Jean remix. The original remix was done by DJ Lancia, credit was given at the end of the video.

  • @powerinmotion hey can you let me know what size tires you are running, i have an issue with spokes poping on my rear wheel that the hub motor is on, i think there is too much weight on the back wheel. I like where you have the battery mounted, looks like the bike is better balanced being mid frame instead of on the rear rack. Did you guys build up the rear wheel with the hub motor? or was it a factory build?

  • @spettenati

The tire size is 26x 1.9 Innova studded tire. If you spoke is popping out, it is most like the wrong size of spokes was used, or it needs to true. We use 12g steel spoke on the Crystlayte 408 motor. And yes, we build our wheel.

  • nice swiss bike, like the tips on riding on icy roads at end of video, thanks very informative.

  • 3 years and only 3K views. It's as though people are not interested in Alternative forms of transportation. I applaud those of you who took the time to comment of tell a friend. Currently considering a Highway Bike Project. Stay tuned.
