Anderson spends the hour talking to children who believe they are trapped in the wrong bodies, and discusses their parents' journey to acceptance. Anderson speaks with experts to get a better understanding of the medical and psychological aspects of transgenders, and how these families are faced with new scientific options that would allow their kids to change their gender.

Anderson also speaks with Domaine Javier, a transgender woman recently expelled from college for applying as a female, as well as Kyle Allums, the first transgender Division 1 basketball player.

If it were my child... I'd listen, understand, make sure they know the major change they're seeking to make. I'd get them into therapy, again to make sure they understand both sides. I'd support them, guide them, remain their biggest and strongest advocate. Dry their tears, share their laughter, help them have a complete, healthy and happy life. But above all else, I'd LOVE them unconditionally until I took my last breath. A child is a beautiful gift & I'd thank God everyday to have him/her

I saw the MTV episode and he said that his mother raised him as a girl because she wanted a daughter. So in my opinion, he was shaped into a 'woman' and not really born anyway but forced to grow up a certian way and now he sees it as a way of life.

I'm curious how many parents are leaning their kids towards a certian gender because that what they want.

@LeytonLuva22 It doesn't work that way. Gender can't be forced. Gender ROLES can be bent, but you can't force someone to identify as something they aren't.

You weren't born in the wrong body, you are gay. There is nothing wrong with it, I'm just getting tired of hearing "I was born in the wrong body." Girls, if you were meant to be a guy you would have a dick, guys, the other way around. Again, you were not born in the wrong body, you are GAY.
