Made from plywood scrap and some allthread bought from eBay.

Built-in monitor and power distribution.

Not shown in this video: if you look closely, the back of the white power switch (which controls the PSU's mains electricity supply) is insulated only with gaffer tape. I'm sure I don't need to tell you that THIS IS NOT SAFE. After everything had been tested I insulated the power switch recess properly with epoxy resin potting compound. The mains cables coming out of the junction box are also now properly anchored.

I won't be held responsible for any idiots out there electrocuting themselves. If you're not sure of what you're doing, don't do it!

All questions welcome!

  • How did you stick down the PSU Hot glue gun ? build the same sort of thing on a cork message board need to know how to stick down

  • @roundNDround Oops sorry I didn't catch your comment back in July. Hope your project worked out! I was lucky to have a PSU with a fan enclosure that stuck out by about half an inch so it just slotted in to the hole I cut for it. You can see what I mean at 2:17-ish - it's lying on the floor in the background.

  • damn ur house is bright

  • @snowchaser7 I wish it was! It's actually really dull most of the time because we're in a ground floor flat. I just happened to leave the camera on manual exposure, only half deliberately!

  • @shizzlepikle Also you can be camera operator. Gotta work the angles man.

  • @blackworx let's do it! It would be fun! I am crap at making things, but my banter and tea making skills make up for it!

  • @shizzlepikle funny you should mention that. I have a couple of 8" woofers lying in wait...

  • Make more videos! We should do stop motion speaker building!
