Katy Setterfield & The Descant Housewives - Why by Annie Lennox

Check out this great version of Annie Lennox's Why. Not sure I was allowed to post the video up on YouTube, but its of Katy Setterfield singing Why with a Marlow based choir The Descant Housewives. They have just recorded the song for a charity album for Breast Cancer Care and Helen and Douglas House charities. This video was part of the album launch concert as Katy was working abroad I think. I bought a copy off Jam Theatre Company's website who is behind this amazing choir. You have to hear this album its amazing for a local choir - I think they are just entering the BBC choir of the year competition. The choir is ran by vocal coach and writer Jo Noel-Hartley (a bit of a local celebrity herself), who worked on the BBC's The One And Only, where Jo and Katy met. If you don't remember it was a BBC talent show for tribute acts and Katy won the series being Dusty Springfield - which you need to youtube too, as Katy was stunning if you didn't hear her! I think she has another tour coming up around the UK, but is currently in Berlin. Listen, enjoy and buy the album from www.jamtheatre.co.uk, its well worth £10 and apparently 100% of the money form the CD sales goes to the two charities. I hope that everyone won't mind me posting this video, so that many more people will be encouraged to buy the album :-)

This is an amazing CD. Not just this track. Once you start playing the CD you have to listen through to the end. Each track has you hooked for a different reason.
