There are apparently three bands called Sweater:

One is a shortly lived band featuring the artist David Ford that eventually evolved into the internationally ignored pop rock band, 'easyworld'.

The second is a Brooklyn two piece, experimental folk outfit made up of Richard Vagnino and Jacob Kaplan.

The more well known though is 스웨터 (Sweater).
스웨터 (Sweater) are an Indie Pop/Korean Rock band from South Korea led by 이아립 (aka.Earip) and 신세철 aka.Mellowyear. Sweater plays modern rock style music, but not plain guitar pop, even combined Synth pop & electronic sound. They released two albums Staccato Green(2002) and Humming Street(2003) (and an earlier EP in 1999). It is also said that they released their "2.5th" album "Songs in Air" which is a compilation of live performances. This year they released their third studio album "Highlights". Apart from Sweater, the band members released their solo materials. Earip,taking a break from Sweater, released her debut solo EP named "End of Bando (Peninsula)" and "A Campfire Lit By Somebody". Mellowyear has released his first studio album "Vane".

Sweater born at the end of 2001, influenced by the independent music scene in Barcelona and Anglo pop-rock. His creative vision moves according to these trends, but leaves room for the incursion of other musical styles. This series elements and careful preparation of text, sound gives the sweater a rare blend of mystery and freshness, of sadness and irony and gives their songs a rarity, but does, at the same time, easily recognizable.
