You cannot spend $20 better than this (maybe less). Welcome to another super value Kershaw EDC folder, the Scamp 2710. It deploys wicked fast, locks up solidly, and provides savage cutting power in an extremely thin form factor. The hollow ground 8Cr13Mov drop point blade is hair-shaving sharp from box. The tip is precise and ready for detail work and the blade has good belly for utility cutting. It is nitride coated in grey which will help this all-around good steel be a little more rust resistant. The Scamp's thumbstuds are ambi, they have no handle occlusions or volcano issues, and they provide excellent deployment traction. That by the way takes little effort and the Scamp is extremely well balanced in this aspect. Similar to its cousin, the Kershaw Salvo, the Scamp has a dual-sided handle: 420 SS and a liner with medium traction G10 overlay. It works to create another handsome and technical looking knife. The "type m" clip is somewhat long and repositions to TU/TD but the knife rides lower in the TD configuration. Blade centering is perfect and phosphor bronze bushings add to the speed of the Scamp. Sadly no jimping is found anywhere and it may be time to affix another thin strip of skateboard tape to the this one as well. In closed position the Scamp provides a pointed handle strike surface although the real calling of the knife is EDC, not tactical. The weight is substantial at 4.4 oz, at outgrowth of the framelock design (they're just heavy when made in SS). For EDC use this is a heavy knife. But I am forgiving of the heft when the almost 4" sized blade, ultra-fast speed, tight lockup, and extreme value are considered. The price for the quality is astounding and again made possible by quality overseas construction. Performing and looking like a much more expensive folder, the Scamp enters the TNP Hall of Fame and the select Playlists for its high value homerun.//////////////////////////////////////// Nutnfancy Likability Scale: 10 out of 10 (price considered)

  • Can you start adding that phrase to every review: "hey wives, if you're listening you should buy your husband this"

  • @FutureMarine246 was just teasing sir...a knife hipster is a hipster of knives...like my neighbor had a tenacious before nutnfancy but after the video he made a point in letting everyone know that he got it BEFORE nutnfancy reviewed it.

  • Stupid kershaw discontinued this knife..

  • What is the edge angle on the kershaw scamp per side?

  • i am still buying American

  • Own this knife, carry it everyday and is an awesome value. A buddy asked me how much it weighed and wasn't sure so we went to kershaws site to look it up. Scamp is not listed in the 2012 catalog! Guess it's discontinued, so I'm buying a couple while i can still find them.

  • @BlunTTipps oh, ok thamks for responding, and ya the oso sweets pocket clip is a little wierd

  • @coldsteel225 wizzard of oz issues with the clip means that it looks fantasy like, to a point of where it takes away function. Look at the clip on the OSO Sweet, that would meet the definition of wizzard of oz

  • hey, another great video. i need a new edc knife and i was thinking either this or the byrd cara cara 2 in frn. what do you think would be better. im trying to keep it relatively light also.

  • hey, good vid. what are volcano issues with the thumb studs, and wizzard of oz issues with the pocket clip

  • Got mine in today ($19.50), extremely nice blade, good quality handle, and fantastic lock. The only problem I have with it is the difficulty of opening it, it takes 2 hands. I haven't messed with the screw yet (my wrench disappeared) but hopefully that will fix it.

  • HI NUT !!!!!!! How are you ???? Whant do you think about the kershaw drone ????? Thaks for italy !!!!!
