Transformers G1 Starscream's Ghost [mini version]

Starscream deceased in Transformers The Movie. He came back in season 3 as a ghost that entered several Decepticon's bodies such as Scourge.

Starscream's Ghost was released as the D-22 e-Hobby exclusive in 2001. This mini version is an unofficial remake of that figure and he doesn't disappoint. He's most certainly not comparable to a WST Starscream. This Kingtoys version is a full-featured miniaturization of the full-size version of Starscream's Ghost. The transformation is the same and even the used materials are the same. The smaller size makes him look very detailed. It's an advanced figure. His red body part is made from die cast metal. His wheels on his landing gear and feet are made from metal as well. The stickers aren't cut accurately, but the quality of the material and print is superb. This is the most impressive unlicensed G1 Transformer I've seen so far. I've got to admit he looks better than my Takara Encore Starscream. Maybe vintage figures use a little bit sturdier plastic, but the plastic on this Starscream is at least equal to Hasbro reissues.

The box is better than I expected. It uses thick cardboard, high-resolution prints, coating and the contrast is superb. The insert is accurately made as well.

When these Kingtoys unofficial mini seekers were released, they were even more expensive than original ones. Currently they're very low priced and really worth the purchase. If you're interested in a Starscream's Ghost figure, this $10 figure is much better for your wallet than a $300 original e-Hobby Starscream's Ghost.

Morgan, I just painted it. Most people who do that, paint the indented shape of his eyes red, but his eyes are as large as sunglasses, making him look as if he's got bleeding eyes. I just painted the top part of his eyes, making him have cartoon-style eyes, but the remaining indenting does cause him too appear as if he needs some serious sleep (bags hanging under his eyes!).

It's nice to pose them as groups:

group 1: Starscream, Thundercracker, Skywarp

group 2: Dirge, Thrust, Ramjet

group 3: Ghost versions

etc.

I got mine free as an apology for a ft up order and I use the as mini bots they are very nice but would not pay more then 50 for the full set of 12
