NO really...there are people in America that need this sort of visual to understand the debt ceiling.

Raising the debt ceiling is a precursor to increasing the level of debt. Debt is by definition unfunded by the spender (i.e. requiring a lender). What point were you trying to make, exactly?

MSNBC's audience is so void of intelligence they need 1st grade diagrams and visual demonstrations to get a simple point across. Hilarious.

And on top of that we have hidden welfare expenses, called unfunded liabilities. The government across all fronts from defense to domestic cannot be trusted to act in a fiscally responsible manner.

What your seeing in American news isn't it being dumbed down, its showmanship. I watch BBC and Al Jeezera as well and the quality of reporting isn't really any better. There is plenty that those news stations leave out or blatantly get wrong.

Rachel Maddow is terrible! She is the liberal version of Glen Beck, so much of what she does isn't news and honestly I think she is a disgrace to journalism. If you want to see a real journalist and anchor watch Anderson Cooper. Why? He doesn't add in swarmy little snippets are comments like Maddow, Tucker, Hannity.

Buffet plays a shell game..90% of his money is already earned and taxed. So when he says that, he bases it on his wealth not earnings, a true liberal.

I have always found it interesting from my non American friends take on our news and country. Not to put you down but you may not be aware that Fox news don't do a good job investigation of their news stories. They are know for editing out parts they don't want ppl to know about. Plus have you ever seen Glenn Beck on Fox. Google MediaMatters and also PolitiFact. Have watched BBC in the past but have not seen Canadian news. I get most of my news online & watch Rachel Maddow.
