jpleo2007... actually, there might be some doubt. Peart puts up a pretty good fight. Portnoy may have him on speed (and he's a TERRIFIC drummer btw), but for technicality and arrangement, don't even try to beat Neil... he's just everywhere at once, it's amazing.

kylefooj, thank you. Some sense has been brought to a YouTube debate, finally! Travis Barker has moderate success with a pop band, and then does backing drums to a couple hip hop songs, and all of a sudden he's the shit? He's barely notable, a typical rock drummer. BORING.

would be true if it were just one song. But do you know any drummer who does his setup song by song? All drummer I know do their setup for the entire 'playlist' in the beginning.
And I've never seen Portnoy do 4-4 's continuously for too long.

i strongly agree

cymbals. and theres hardly any pitch change they're all practicly the same size and whats the point in having that many if your just going to do a four four beat for most of it

This one, Octavarium, Metropolis, Change of Seasons, Dance of Eternity, Overture 1928, Fatal Tragedy, Panic Attack, These Walls, Never Enough, Pull Me Under, Constant Motion are my favorites. Everything is incredible though.

He is the best Progressive Metal drummer alive, there is no doubt about that.
