Hey!Great idea. Me and my friends are thinking of fighting crime too. I'm Going to be Batman and He's going to be Spider-Man. We Fought with each other over who would be Superman so we decided nobody would.

It sounds like what you are trying to do is a good thing, lord knows that there are never cops around when you need them but if you want to keep this going you must make sure that it is done the right way. But of course if breaking the law and harasing or shaking down a few law biding citizens is your thing then there is not alot anyone can do. P.S. Open carry is LEGAL(not against the law)in Pennsylvania. Yes I know about Phily.

I think that you are misunderstanding what people are saying. Its great that they are doing something for thier community but if they choose to do this great thing illegaly by representing themselves as sworn law enforcment officers then they ARE breaking the law. It would have to be said that if you condon these men breaking the law, then they should be punished by the laws that they are trying to enforce.

It's a good idea bu these guys are already harrasing people that don't do anything illegal because the don't know the law and claim they're LEOs. That's unacceptable.

Great idea guys. I commend you on the positive work you are doing in your neighborhood.
A word of caution though. A member of your group, Claiming to be a law enforcement officer and confronting a citizen who is doing nothing wrong because your member does not know the law not only gives your group a bad rep but may put you all in legal trouble.

These guys are going around stating that they are police officers and talking about how X, Y and Z are against the law when things are not illegal. These guys have to clean out the power trippers if they want to do good for the city. I'm sure most are good but if you start representing yourself as a police officer and telling people that carrying a gun openly is against the law when it isn't you're going to end up behind bars!!!

Yeah, me too! I'm sure eventually they'll get around to riding in formations and that sort of thing. Would be great for recruiting!

I think you misunderstand what this group is about. They are a Townwatch on bicycles, and the police are thrilled to have the extra eyes and ears on the street. In my opinion, they are some of the most upstanding citizens we have in Philadelphia, and I made this little video because I thought they deserved more recognition. I hope you're fortunate enough to live in an area where the local police force doesn't need any help.
