I'm 18 and am Adopted... But I envy you. My adopted parents... Were not the best parents.. They tried. But they blamed and took their marital frustrations on me. I have all ready been homeless twice. I just wish I could meet my birth mother and ask her why...

I'm an adult adoptee and in some ways it affects me. I don't think about it all the time but when I do I have lots of questions like you did. I'm hoping I can get my records open and learn some more about myself.

Man i met my real family when i was 18 and now 21 ... and i still dont feel like i fit in anywhere... cos im torn between em both... and one family dont wanna know the other... i love em all just wish we could all get along. it was no 1s fault...

i feel the same way this guy feels. I can't seem to be close with anyone. I always feel they will get tired of me and leave.

I wanted to meet my birth mother but could not find her. I am sure she remembers me on my birthday each year, but that is the only "contact". Now it does not matter (much) so being true to yourself is the most important thing. Live for each day, the here and now - that is the way forward. Best wishes, Eric.

Basically that I blamed my birth mother's action (one night stand) on ALL women. Also I went to boys only schools! Later in life, all the women I met at work or socially were ALL bitches. So there.
